Summer!

Who doesn’t love summer?

Long stretches of daylight.

Warm weather.

Fragrant Flowers.

And, fresh fruit and vegetables.

Perhaps it is because I grew up in a more southern state and now live up north that I don’t just like summer. I NEED summer!

Some of my favorite parts of the summer are:

1. The sound of the birds in the early morning and late evening
2. Fruit that is full of local sunshine
3. Farmers’ markets
4. Taking long walks with the dog without bundling up
5. Wearing sandals and flip flops
6. The smell of freshly cut grass.
